(SYDNEY, N.S.) - The offence continues to fire on all cylinders for the Cape Breton University Capers women's soccer team.
Six days after putting nine goals on the board against the Saint Mary's Huskies, the Capers were at it again, scoring early and late in a 4-0 win over the visiting StFX X-Women Friday evening in Sydney.
Chelsea Currie opened the scoring for the Capers just six minutes into the game and the home side would take the 1-0 lead to halftime.
Subway Player of the Game Allison Bell-Davies gave the Capers some insurance, scoring her first of the season in the 64th minute.
AUS scoring leader Karolyne Blain added her sixth and seventh goals of the season in the 86th and 89th minutes to close out the scoring.
StFX keeper Maris Miller made 15 saves in the loss.
With the victory, the Capers improved to 3-0-3 on the season heading into a Sunday road contest in Sackville, N.B., against the Mount Allison Mounties.
StFX will play next on October 4th when they travel to Halifax to face the Saint Mary's Huskies.
