Subway Player of the Game Jacob Leblanc made nine tackles including two sacks to lead the Mounties (3-4) to their second straight win and their first victory at the Stadium since 1997.
The Huskies (4-3) lost to Mount Allison for the second time this season despite outgaining the Mounties 360 yards to 276 on offence. Two interceptions late in the fourth quarter and two big plays by Mount Allison sealed the Huskies' fate.
Troy Trentham connected with Josh Blanchard for a 37-yard touchdown off a trick play and later caught a 57-yard touchdown pass from Quarterback Brandon Leyh to propel the Mounties to the critical win in the hunt for the AUS playoffs.
Trentham finished with five receptions for 74 yards while AUS-leading rusher Jordan Botel racked up 165 yards on 32 carries. Leyh completed 10 of 16 passes for 147 yards to round out the Mounties attack.
