Memorial's Carly Norris and Saint Mary's Keyshawn Beswick named East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athletes of the Week
Norris posted consecutive double-doubles in Memorial’s weekend sweep, and Beswick anchored the Huskies’ defence in their Loney Bowl championship win.

Carly Norris from the Memorial Sea-Hawks women’s basketball team is the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 9, 2025.
A second-year forward from Middle Cove, N.L., Norris led the Sea-Hawks to two weekend wins over Dalhousie this past weekend with back-to-back double-doubles.
Friday night, she padded the stat sheet with 10 points and a game-high 16 rebounds to go along with five steals, four blocks and two assists in a hard-fought 51-49 win.
She followed that performance up Saturday with 16 points, a game-high 18 rebounds, three blocks, two assists and a steal in a 76-64 win.
After six games played, she now leads the nation in total rebounds with 81 on the season and sits second nationally and first in the conference in rebounds per game, averaging 13.5.

Keyshawn Beswick, a defensive back for the Saint Mary’s Huskies football team, has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Nov. 9, 2025.
A first-year arts student from Surrey, B.C., Beswick was named Boston Pizza Player of the Game and Championship MVP in the Huskies’ 46-11 win over the STFX X-Men Saturday in the 2025 Bell AUS Loney Bowl.
His second quarter interception set the tone for a dominant defensive performance, and he added 3.5 tackles and two pass breakups, playing lockdown defence on the X-Men's All-Star receivers.
With the win, Saint Mary’s earned hosting rights to the national semifinal game—the U SPORTS Uteck Bowl—where they will play host to the Montreal Carabins this Saturday at 1 p.m. AT.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, each East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week will receive a $50 ECL gift card and a signed certificate, courtesy of East Coast Lifestyle and Atlantic University Sport.
