UNB's Katelyn Scott and Saint Mary's Ben Allison named East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athletes of the Week
National medal performances headline final East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athletes of the Week honours

Katelyn Scott from the UNB REDS women’s hockey team has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 22, 2026.
A third-year business administration student from Almonte, Ont., Scott played a key role as the REDS won the bronze medal at the U SPORTS Women’s Hockey Championship, in Elmira, Ontario.
Scott scored a shootout goal in UNB’s quarter-final victory and a regulation-time goal in the bronze medal game.
The bronze medal is the first at the national championship tournament level for UNB’s women’s hockey program.

Academic program: Commerce
Ben Allison from the Saint Mary’s Huskies men’s hockey team has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 22, 2026.
A third-year forward from Halifax, N.S., Allison helped lead the Huskies to a national silver medal at the U SPORTS University Cup men’s hockey championship this past weekend.
He was named a U Cup Tournament All-Star after recording four points (two goals and two assists) over three games in the championship.
Allison scored the second goal of the game and assisted on the game winner in the national quarterfinal against Saskatchewan.
He had an assist in Saint Mary’s 4-1 win over Windsor in Saturday’s semifinal.
In Sunday’s championship final, he scored the Huskies’ second goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to UQTR. Allison was named Player of the Game for Saint Mary’s in the final.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, each East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week will receive a $50 ECL gift card and a signed certificate, courtesy of East Coast Lifestyle and Atlantic University Sport.
