UNB's Alexandra Parvin and Nicolas Savoie named East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athletes of the Week
Parvin leads REDS women to AUS title with overtime winner, while Savoie helps UNB men secure eighth straight conference championship

Emilia Mikanovich from the Saint Mary’s Huskies women’s volleyball team has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 8, 2026.
A fourth-year science student from Minsk, Belarus, Mikanovich was named the Championship Most Valuable Player after leading the Huskies to their second straight AUS women’s volleyball title.
The Huskies swept the UNB REDS in two games in the best-of-three final series.
In Tuesday’s 3-2 championship clinching win at the Homburg Centre, Mikanovich put up a match-high 28.0 points on 21 kills, five aces and two blocks, and added 13 digs.
In their 3-1 Game 1 win Sunday, March 1 in Fredericton, Mikanovich recorded 12.0 points on 11 kills, one block, and added two assists and 14 digs.
Over four playoff games, all Huskies wins, Mikanovich scored 86.0 points (4.8 points per set) on 74 kills (4.11 kills per set), eight aces, 6.0 blocks and added 50 digs, on her way to being named Championship MVP for the second straight season.
Saint Mary’s will now compete at this weekend’s U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Championship in Langley, B.C., hosted by the Trinity Western Spartans. The No. 6 seed Huskies will take on the No. 6 seed Brock Badgers in quarterfinal action on Friday, March 13 at 2 p.m. PDT (6 p.m. ADT).

Silas Conlin-Morse from the UNB REDS men’s track and field team has been named the East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 8, 2026.
A second-year kinesiology student from Wolfville, N.S., Conlin-Morse anchored UNB’s historic gold medal run in the men’s 4-by-800-metre relay at the U SPORTS Track & Field Championships, in Winnipeg.
He also earned an individual bronze medal in the 1500-metre.
The relay gold was the first national gold medal for the UNB men in program history. It established a new UNB record in the event, and was the fourth fastest ever run at a U SPORTS championship meet.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, each East Coast Lifestyle AUS Athlete of the Week will receive a $50 ECL gift card and a signed certificate, courtesy of East Coast Lifestyle and Atlantic University Sport.
