Subway AUS Athletes of the Week: SMU's Colley and CBU's Dorsey honoured

Justine Colley of the CIS No. 4-ranked Saint Mary’s Huskies women’s basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 25, 2012.
Colley, a fourth-year guard from East Preston, N.S., scored a total of 50 points in a pair of weekend road wins as the fourth-ranked Huskies extended their unbeaten streak to six games to open the regular season and are currently in first place in the AUS standings.
In Friday night’s 63-50 win over the Cape Breton Capers Justine scored 18 points, had 10 rebounds and added two assists and four steals. It was her fourth double-double of the season.
In Saturday’s 76-56 victory over the StFX X-Women, Colley netted 32 points and added five rebounds, four assists, five steals and a blocked shot.
Justine, who led the country in scoring each of the two previous seasons, once again leads CIS in scoring this year with an average of 26.2 points per game. She has scored over 30 points in three of the Huskies’ six games regular season games this year and also leads the Atlantic conference in steals (3.5 per game) and is ranked third in rebounding (8.8 per game)
A first-team AUS all-star in each of her first three seasons, Colley has now moved into eighth spot in AUS career scoring with 1,553 points scored. She has led CIS in scoring

Jimmy Dorsey of the CIS No. 5-ranked Cape Breton Capers men’s basketball team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 25, 2012.
Dorsey, a fifth-year senior from Baltimore, MD., averaged 25.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.5 steals in a pair of home wins this past weekend as the Capers improved to 5-0 on the season.
Jimmy, a 2012 first team CIS all-Canadian and the reigning AUS player of the year, picked up his first double-double of the season Friday night, scoring 24 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a 90-86 victory over the Saint Mary’s Huskies. He also added three assists and three steals in the win.
In Saturday’s 86-68 triumph over the Dalhousie Tigers, Dorsey poured in 27 points and added two rebounds, six assists and four steals as the Capers won their fifth regular season game in a row to sit in first place in the AUS standings.
The 6-foot-2 CBU guard hasn’t scored less than 22 points in any game this season and currently leads all CIS players in both scoring (26.6 points per game) and steals (4.6 steals per game). His 4.2 assists per game also leads the Atlantic conference.
