Huskies top Tigers 2-1

(HALIFAX, N.S.) - The Huskies beat the Tigers 2-1 under the lights on Wednesday night. Saint Mary's tied up the season series on the road at Wickwire Field.
Ashwin Phatak (Pune, India) scored the only first-half goal in the 12th minute giving the Huskies the early lead.
The two rivals played a fast paced and physical second half with plenty of chances for both sides. Bezick Evraire (Ottawa, Ont.) tied the game at 1-1 with his 6th goal of the season on a penalty kick in the 77th minute.
The comeback was short lived for the Tigers as Thierno Diop (Dakar, Senagal) scored shortly after in the 82nd minute. The Huskies held on to the lead, winning 2-1.
Dalhousie (2-2-2) now moves on to host Cape Breton (2-2-1) this Saturday, Sept. 27 at 3:15 p.m.
Saint Mary's (3-3-2) hits the field next at home against Acadia (3-3-0) on Sunday, Sept. 28. at 4:15 p.m.
