Huskies take Tigers at home to remain undefeated

Saint Mary's led 19-15 after 10 minutes with Huskies guard Rachelle Coward scoring 10 points in the quarter.
Saint Mary's outscored Dal 21-20 in the second quarter to go in at halftime leading 40-35.
A 32-point third quarter outburst swung the game wide open for the Huskies, who led 72-58.
Dal's Tessa Stammberger opened the fourth quarter with a quick three pointer for the Tigers, before Saint Mary's went on 7-0 run to lead 79-61.
A Stammberger layup and three-point basket by the Huskies' Emily Jameson forced a Dal timeout with 7:03 left in the game.
Another timeout after a 7-2 Dal run made it 84-70 for Saint Mary's with 4:20 left on the scoreboard.
The Huskies went on their own 7-2 run in only 61 seconds, bringing the score to 91-72 for Saint Mary's with 3:19 in the game.
The Tigers, 5-6 in AUS play, had a 7-2 run down the stretch to end the game.
Stammberger led all Tigers scorers' with a double-double, 24 points and 10 rebounds while Courtney Thompson added 21 points.
Justine Colley's double-double paced all Huskies scorers' with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Coward added 23 points and six rebounds on 4-for-6 shooting from three-point land for Saint Mary's.
Also scoring for Saint Mary's were Katrina Murrell with 12 points, Laura Langille with eight points and eight rebounds and Angelina Carvery with seven points.
Emily Jameson had 11 points off the bench while Carlie Nugent and Becky Nash each had two points for the Huskies, who improve to 13-0 on the year.
Saint Mary's shot 43.8 per cent from the field (32-73) compared to Dal's 40 per cent (26-65).
Three-point shooting saw the Huskies shoot 32.3 per cent (10-for-31). Dal was 4-for-9, good for 44.4 per cent.
The Tigers held the slight rebound advantage 43-42 but Saint Mary's had more paint points, 40-28, and bench points, 15-12.
The Huskies returns to action Tuesday, Jan. 28 when they host Acadia University at 8 p.m. in a game rescheduled from Jan. 22.
Dalhousie will host the Cape Breton Capers tonight, Saturday, Jan. 25 in a 6 p.m. four-point game.
