(HALIFAX, N.S.) The two-time defending AUS champion UNB REDS will open the 2025 campaign ranked No. 1 in the AUS Men’s Cross Country Preseason Coaches’ Poll after collecting 36 points and six first-place votes.

STFX takes the No. 2 spot with 30 points, followed by the Dalhousie Tigers in third with 27 points and one first-place vote. The UPEI Panthers are fourth with 20 points, while the Memorial Sea-Hawks (fifth, 16 points), Saint Mary's Huskies (sixth, 11 points), and Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus (seventh, 7 points) round out the preseason rankings.
The 2025 season gets underway Saturday with the first invitational hosted by UNB in Fredericton. The women's race is set for 11:30 a.m. AT, followed by the men's at 12:30 p.m. AT.
