STFX scores top team finish at Moncton invitational
(MONCTON, NB) Lauren Lowther of the Dalhousie University Tigers and Andrew Peverill of the Saint Mary's University Huskies were the first to cross the finish line at the Université de Moncton cross country classic held Saturday noon on the field adjacent to the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena on the Moncton campus.
(MONCTON, NB) Lauren Lowther of the Dalhousie University Tigers and Andrew Peverill of the Saint Mary's University Huskies were the first to cross the finish line at the Université de Moncton cross country classic held on Saturday on the Moncton campus.
Lauren Lowther completed the 8km run in 32:06.80, 13 seconds ahead of Breanna Sandluck and 17 ahead of Taylor Rasmussen, both from St. Francis Xavier University X-Women who finished in the top 3 in the women's category.
In the final team standings, the X-Women finished first followed by the Dalhousie Tigers, Acadia Axewomen, UPEI Panthers, Memorial Sea-Hawks and Moncton Aigles Bleues.
On the men's side, Andrew Peverill crossed the line in 26:17.20, 23 seconds ahead of Levi Moulton of the Memorial University Sea-Hawks and Liam Patterson of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men took third place in 27:36.30.
In the team standings, the X-Men finished first followed by the Dalhousie Tigers, Memorial Sea-Hawks, Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues and University of Prince Edward Island Panthers.

Lauren Lowther des Tigers de Dalhousie University et Andrew Peverill des Huskies de Saint Mary’s University ont été les premiers à traverser la ligne d’arrivée lors de la classique de cross-country de l’Université de Moncton tenue samedi midi sur le terrain adjacent à l’aréna J.-Louis-Lévesque du campus de Moncton.
Lauren Lowther a réussi le parcourt de 8km en 32m06,80src, 13 secondes devant Breanna Sandluck et 17 devant Taylor Rasmussen, les deux des X-Women de St. Francis Xavier University qui ont terminé le top 3 chez les femmes.
Au classement final par équipe, les X-Women ont fin premières suivi des Tigers de Dalhousie, Axewomen d’Acadia, Panthers de UPEI, Sea-Hawks de Memorial et des Aigles Bleues de Moncton.
Chez les hommes, bndrew Peverill a traversé la ligne en 26m17s20, 23 secondes devant Levi Moulton des Sea-Hawks de Memorial University et Liam Patterson des X-Men de St. Francis Xavier, a pris le troisième rang en 27m36s30.
Au classement par équipe, les X-Men a onto fini premiers suivi des Tigers de Dalhousie, Sea-Hawks de Memorial, Aigles Bleus de l’Université de Moncton et des Panthers de University of Prince Edward Island.
