Ticket packages on sale now for the 2026 Bell AUS Basketball Championships, presented by G-Series
Three days of men’s and women’s AUS basketball action return to Halifax’s Scotiabank Centre Feb. 20–22.
(HALIFAX, N.S.) Ticket packages for the 2026 Bell AUS Basketball Championships, presented by G-Series, are officially on sale through Ticketmaster. This year's championship weekend will take place Friday, Feb. 20 to Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Scotiabank Centre in downtown Halifax.
The three-day event consists of five doubleheader sessions with each session featuring one women's game and one men's game. The full schedule for this year's event is below.
"Each year, this event continues to grow as we welcome back long-time fans and introduce new ones to the excitement of AUS basketball," said AUS COO and interim CEO John Keefe. "The crowd brings an incredible energy to the Scotiabank Centre. Our student-athletes feed off that and leave everything they have on the floor. It's what makes this weekend so special for both the players and the fans."
The men's championship was played at Scotiabank Centre for the first time in 1979—the year the facility opened—and has been hosted there more than 30 times since. The women's championship began running concurrently with the men's in 2015 as a pilot project and was announced as a permanent yearly fixture in 2018.
On the women's side of the draw, the three-time defending champion Saint Mary's Huskies will look to make it four in a row after defeating UPEI 68-53 in last year's championship game.
They'll face steep competition from the UNB REDS, who were voted the team to beat in this season's coaches' poll after impressing in preseason play.
The 2025-26 AUS women's basketball regular season schedule is available here.
On the men's side, the UPEI Panthers look to repeat as conference champions after toppling the powerhouse STFX X-Men 84-79 in last year's championship final.
