Varsity Reds respond on Sunday with 86-69 win over Memorial
(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) - After being upset by Memorial on Saturday, the UNB Varsity Reds responded by beating the Sea-Hawks 86-69 in AUS men’s basketball on Sunday.

(ST. JOHN'S, N.L.) - After being upset by Memorial on Saturday, the UNB Varsity Reds responded by beating the Sea-Hawks 86-69 in AUS men's basketball on Sunday.
The Varsity Reds were limited to eight active players due to injuries.
Javon Masters led UNB with 20 points, six assists and five steals in the win. Jordan Irvine ignited the Varsity Reds offense with 15 points, all from three-point distance, while adding eight rebounds and seven assists.
Vasilije Curcic had a big game for Memorial in the loss with 25 points and seven rebounds. Curcic shot a tidy 12-13 from the floor. Caleb Gould added 16 points and six rebounds for the Sea-Hawks.
UNB's record improves to 8-3 with the win.
Memorial now sits 1-9 on the season.
The Sea-Hawks will travel to Antigonish next weekend for a series against the StFX X-Men.
The Varsity Reds next take to the court Friday, Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. when they visit the UPEI Panthers in Charlottetown.
