Dorsey scores 34 points to lead No. 6-ranked Capers past X-Men
(SYDNEY, N.S.) - Reigning AUS MVP Jimmy Dorsey netted 34 points Wednesday night as the CIS No.6-ranked Cape Breton Capers defeated the visiting StFX X-Men 88-83 in AUS men’s basketball action at the Sullivan Field House in Sydney, N.S.

In addition to his game-high 34 points, the fifth-year guard from Baltimore, MD., added seven rebounds, six assists and six steals as the Capers pushed their record to 3-0. Dorsey is currently leading the Atlantic conference in scoring with 27.3 points per game.
The four-point win also vaults CBU into a first-place tie with the Saint Mary's Huskies with 8 points in the standings.
Freshman guard Shaquille Keith added 16 points for the Capers, who led 40-35 at the half and shot 48 per cent from the floor in the game, including 10-of-25 from three-point range.
AJ Geugjes had 14 points and seven rebounds while Sean McCormick chipped in with 12 points and nine boards for the Capers.
Jeremy Dunn had a team-high 32 points to lead the X-Men who fell to 1-1 on the year.
Jordan Clarke and Terry Thomas had 14 and 13 points respectively for the X-Men while Tyrell Vernon chipped in with 10 points and four helpers in a losing cause.
Cape Breton will get the weekend off and will be back in action on November 23rd when they host the Saint Mary's Huskies in an 8 p.m. start at the Sullivan Fieldhouse.
The X-Men will host the 2-0 UPEI Panthers Saturday night at the Oland Centre in Antigonish, N.S.
