PREVIEW: 2026 Bell AUS Curling Championships
Championships get underway Thursday as the conference’s top university curlers meet at the Capital Winter Curling Club in Fredericton, N.B.
(FREDERICTON, N.B.) The 2026 Bell AUS Curling Championships get underway Thursday as the conference’s top university curlers meet at the Capital Winter Curling Club in Fredericton, N.B., hosted by the University of New Brunswick.
Seven women’s teams—Dalhousie, Saint Mary’s, UPEI, UNB, Memorial, STFX and Mount Allison—will compete for the AUS title. On the men’s side, five teams—Dalhousie, UPEI, UNB, Memorial and STFX—will take the ice.
Dalhousie enters as the defending AUS champion on the women’s side and will have skip Ally MacNutt back from the 2025 championship team.
On the men’s side, Memorial returns as the reigning AUS champion. Skip Simon Perry is back after leading the Sea-Hawks to the 2025 AUS title and a bronze medal at the U SPORTS championship.
Round robin play runs Thursday through Saturday, with playoffs scheduled for Sunday. Games on sheet 3 will be webcast live on AUStv.ca.
The AUS champion and runner-up on both the women’s and men’s sides will qualify for the 2026 U SPORTS Curling Championships, set for Feb. 17–21 at the Callie Curling Club in Regina, Sask.
