Tigers top Huskies in Sunday volleyball action

(HALIFAX, N.S.) - The Dalhousie Tigers topped the Saint Mary's Huskies 3-0 at the Homberg Centre in the Tigers' final AUS regular season game.
Set scores were 25-19, 25-20 and 25-14.
The Tigers' Desiree Nouwen posted 18 points in the win. The first-year outside hitter contributed 15 kills, seven digs and three blocked shots.
Third-year Dalhousie outside hitter Maggie Li contribued 9.5 points in the win. She added four kills, nine digs and a blocked shot in the win.
The Huskies' Shelby Michaels posted 12 kills and four digs for Saint Mary's, while teammate Rachel Windhorst added 10 kills and three digs in the loss.
The Huskies will finish of their regular season play tonight at 7 p.m. when they host the Acadia Axewomen in a game rescheduled from Jan. 29.
Both teams will then prepare for this weekend's Subway AUS women's volleyball championship hosted by Dalhousie Feb. 14-16.
Finishing first (Dal) and second (Saint Mary's) in the AUS standings, they have each clinched first round byes.
