Huskies defeat V-Reds 3-0 in Halifax
(HALIFAX, N.S.) - The Saint Mary's Huskies defeated the UNB Varstity Reds 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 27-25) Friday night in AUS women's volleyball action at the Homburg Centre in Halifax.

Subway Player of the Game Josie Leduc (Okotoks, Alta.) had five aces, four kills, three digs and four blocked shots to lead the Huskies to their third win of the season (3-1). Shelby Michaels (Mill Bay, B.C.) added 11 kills while Erin Smith (Moncton, N.B.) chipped in with eight kills.
The Huskies came back from a 23-19 deficit in the third set and earned the sweep on their third match point. Jacqueline Sebetovsky (Eastern Passage, N.S.) led the way for the Varsity Reds with nine kills and eight digs while Rebecca Glancy (Toronto, Ont.) added eight kills as UNB dropped to 2-4 on the season.
The Varsity Reds will head up Robie Street to play the Dalhousie Tigers Nov. 16 at noon in a homecoming for UNB head coach Jilliane Goulet who was an all-Canadian for the Tigers.
The Huskies will be looking for their fourth win in a row as they host the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues at 2 p.m. at the Homburg Centre.
