The Acadia Axewomen, Cape Breton Capers and StFX X-Women all remain undefeated on the AUS women's soccer season as all teams walked away with weekend victories.
The Capers extended their win streak to four with back-to-back wins. They topped the Dalhousie Tigers 2-0 in Halifax on Saturday afternoon, with Alliyah Rowe getting on the board twice for Cape Breton. They then went on to visit the Mount Allison Mounties in Sackville Sunday afternoon, blanking them 5-0. Goals came from Rowe (2), Erin Freeman (2) and Amelia Carlini.
The Axewomen opened the weekend in Charlottetown Friday night, taking on the UPEI Panthers where Acadia walked away with a 2-0 victory. Jayden Boudreau and Jenna Boudreau tallied the goals for the Axewomen. Acadia then went on to blank the Saint Mary's Huskies 5-0 in Wolfville Sunday afternoon, with goals coming from Jenna Boudreau, Alexandra Scovil, Grace Longley (2) and McKenzie Kelly.
The X-Women played just one game this weekend, topping the Tigers 2-1 Sunday afternoon. Mercy Myles and Amanda Smith scored for StFX, with Rachelle Lalande getting the tally for Dalhousie.
The UNB Reds handed the Memorial Sea-Hawks their first loss of the season on Saturday. The Reds walked away with a 1-0 victory with Abby Sullivan earning the lone goal of the game. The Reds earned their second win of the weekend when they played to a 4-1 win over the Panthers Sunday. Sylvie Fecteau tallied two goals for the Reds, with the third goal coming from Clarisse Ramirez and UNB earning a team goal. Madison Hurley got on the board for the Panthers.
Memorial and the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues played to a 0-0 draw Sunday afternoon, giving the Sea-Hawks a 2-1-1 record while the Aigles Bleues sit at 1-1-1.
