Tommies earn fourth straight win with weekend sweep

The St. Thomas Tommies earned their fourth straight victory with a 2-1 win over the Mount Allison Mounties on Sunday, allowing them to clinch a first round bye in the AUS women's hockey playoffs. The Tommies also earned a 3-2 victory over the Saint Mary's Huskies on Friday night, giving them 43 points on the season to keep them at the top of the standings.

The Dalhousie Tigers earned two straight victories over the weekend, as they make their push for the final playoff spot in AUS women's hockey action. The Tigers visited the StFX X-Women on Wednesday night, skating to a 4-2 victory in Antigonish. The Tigers then topped the UPEI Panthers in a 1-0 victory at the Halifax Forum on Friday evening.

Despite falling to the Tigers on Friday, the Panthers earned two wins on the week, as they blanked the Mount Allison Mounties 4-0 on Wednesday, and earned a huge 2-0 win over the X-Women on Saturday, allowing them to clinch a position in the playoffs.

The Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues blanked the UNB Reds 1-0 on Wednesday evening, however fell to the Saint Mary's Huskies 5-2 on Saturday night.

On Saturday, the Reds topped the Mounties 2-1, securing a position in the playoffs.
