X-Women win fifth straight

The StFX X-Women topped the Mount Allison Mounties 3-1 and the UNB Reds 2-1 in overtime this weekend to earn their fifth straight victory. The X-Women now sit in second place in the AUS women's hockey standings with 35 points, just four points shy of the league leading St. Thomas Tommies.

The Tommies earned a sweep this weekend as they doubled the Universite de Moncton Aigles Bleues 6-3 on Friday evening, then topped the UPEI Panthers 2-1 on Saturday night.

On Friday evening, the Mounties earned a 4-2 win over the Dalhousie Tigers, while the Saint Mary's Huskies topped the Panthers 2-1.

Saturday night, the UNB Reds topped the Huskies at home with a 2-1 win.

The Tigers bounced back from their loss against the Mounties this weekend, as they topped the Aigles Bleues 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at home.
