(HALIFAX, N.S.) - Jessie Noseworthy of the Memorial Sea-Hawks women's soccer team and Stephen Anderson of the UNB Varsity Reds men's hockey team have been named the Subway AUS Athletes of the Week for their respective performances for this past week.

Jessie Noseworthy of the Memorial Sea-Hawks women’s soccer team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport female athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 16, 2016.
A fourth-year nursing student from St. John’s, N.L., Noseworthy notched five goals and added three assists in two weekend wins at home for the Sea-Hawks.
In Saturday’s 7-0 win over the visiting Saint Mary’s Huskies, she tallied two goals and an assist. The Sea-Hawks then topped the Huskies 9-0 on Sunday and Noseworthy contributed another three goals and two assists.
She currently leads the conference in both goals (with 10) and assists (with seven). She is first in the Atlantic conference and second in the country in points with 17.

Stephen Anderson of the CIS No. 1-ranked UNB Varsity Reds men’s hockey team is the Subway Atlantic University Sport male athlete of the week for the week ending Oct. 16, 2016.
A second-year business student from Morell, P.E.I., Anderson scored three goals and added an assist as the Varsity Reds recorded two early season wins this past weekend.
The 5-foot-10 forward scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over UPEI. On Friday, Anderson had a three-point night in UNB’s 9-2 win over Moncton.
